This policy explains what personal data TradeFix collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data We Collect

  • Account data

    Name, email address, password (hashed), role and profile picture.

  • Profile data

    Business name, location, phone, bio, categories, qualifications and insurance documents provided by tradespeople.

  • Job data

    Job title, description, photos, location and budget provided by customers.

  • Messages

    Content of in-app messages between users.

  • Payment data

    Subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

  • Usage data

    Device and interaction data used to improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To show tradespeople to customers and jobs to tradespeople.
  • To process subscription payments and enable paid features.
  • To send notifications, job alerts and account-related messages.
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.

3. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: payment processors (Stripe), service providers that help us operate the platform, and authorities where required by law. Tradesperson profiles and reviews are visible to other users as part of the service.

4. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

5. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Withdraw consent for processing that relies on it.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Cookies

TradeFix uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and the app working. We do not use your data for third-party advertising cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted within the app or on this page.
