1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, posting a job, sending a quote, or using any TradeFix feature, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use TradeFix. Tradespeople are responsible for ensuring they hold the correct qualifications, certifications and insurance required by law to carry out the services they offer.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate, current information in your profile and job postings.
• Accounts may be suspended or removed if used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.

4. TradeFix as a Marketplace

TradeFix is an introduction platform only. We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a tradesperson. We do not employ tradespeople, guarantee the quality of work, or warrant that any job will be completed to a particular standard. Any contract for work is made directly between the customer and the tradesperson.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

• Tradespeople may subscribe to a Standard or Pro plan, billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until your plan is cancelled.
• Plans can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further charges are made.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Quotes, Jobs and Payments

• Quotes sent through TradeFix are estimates only and may change once a tradesperson assesses the job on site.
• Any payment for work is arranged directly between the customer and the tradesperson unless otherwise agreed.
• TradeFix does not hold customer funds and is not responsible for payments made off-platform.

7. Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post misleading, fraudulent or discriminatory content.
• Harass, abuse or threaten other users.
• Use the platform to bypass fees or move transactions off-platform to avoid subscription charges.
• Impersonate another person or business.

Zero Tolerance: TradeFix has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these standards, without prior notice. Users can report and block others at any time from profiles and messages.

8. Insurance and Verification

Tradespeople offering certain trades may be required to upload a valid public liability insurance certificate. A "Verified" badge reflects that documentation has been provided; it is not a guarantee of competence or cover. TradeFix may remove a badge if documentation lapses or is found to be invalid.

9. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. TradeFix may remove reviews that are abusive, false, or placed in bad faith.

10. Disclaimers

TradeFix is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the outcome of any job arranged through the platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TradeFix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from work carried out by a tradesperson introduced via the platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of TradeFix after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
